When you find your calling looking for donkeys

    It's pretty amazing to hear stories about great men of God and how they came to answer God's call to His service. It didn't matter what type of call it was. It mattered that it was a true calling from God Almighty and that specific person was able to hear that call very clearly and therefore, submit to it.     In 1 Samuel chapter 9, we see God's call to Saul to be the King of Israel. We tend to depict Saul as a very bad man since he wanted to kill David, his successor. We tend to be very judgemental when we think about his death. He committed suicide. And most of all, we think of his huge disobedience to God. But it wasn't always that way. At some point in his life, he was a different person.     He was obedient to his dad. Under siege part-4

 It was nice taking a break from the armor of God and talk about the compassion of Jesus and about listening to the voice of God. I decided to take a break because I felt prompted by the Spirit to write about those two subjects, and it was really a blessing! Now we must go back to the very important armor of God that gives us protection against the schemes of the devil. It's time to talk about the third element of the armor, the shoes. "and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace." (Ephesians 6:15 ESV) You would say why shoes? Well, let's put it this way. Don't you need comfortable shoes specially for occasions when you know they're really necessary? This could be work, extenuating sports or any other activity where walking or running is required.
