Will you be there?

James Milton Black was a musician and a Sunday school teacher who was a very devoted Christian. One day, while walking through an alley, he saw a very poor teenage girl who was wearing raggedy clothes and seemed to be in really bad shape. She was also the daughter of a drunkard . Out of the compassion of his heart and his love for the lost, James Milton invited her to his Sunday school class and she started attending. James, as he did the roll call on his class, encouraged every student to recite a Bible verse after their name was called. One day, as he did his roll call, he didn't hear the girl answer which made him be concerned for her. He decided to go see what was wrong with her and came to find out that she was very sick. Immediately, he called his own doctor to check on her, and the doctor diagnosed her with pneumonia, which in those days was pretty much an incurable disease. Antibiotics did not exist at the time. My poem to God

 Last night, before I went to bed, I was praying as usual in my comfy chair and the Lord for some reason, gave me this poem: Lord of the universe, Your love is high, Higher than mine, Higher than the clouds. I cannot compare it, I cannot describe, But without a doubt, I cannot deny. It's a sweet aroma, The aroma of Christ, Because only through Him, Through Him crucified, Your love is shown best To the world around. Better than riches, Better than pleasures, Better than everything, It's Your love, my Lord! And forevermore, Will my heart not quit To always be thankful For the love received. Oh Your love, my Christ! How can I repay? Or the things you've done For this sinner's sake. I can only thank You And Your Father too, His love for humanity, His love for the doomed. I can only say, With tears in my eyes, Thank You Lord Jesus For being sacrificed! Sacrificial giving, It's what Your Father did, He sent You to die To give life to me.
